Keyboard bisa lebih kotor dari toilet

News - Keyboard komputer bisa mengandung banyak kuman Keyboard komputer mengandung jutaan bakteri yang bisa menyebabkan sakit perut dan batuk-pilek, demikian hasil sebuah studi.

Penelitian Badan Konsumen Inggris , Which?, menunjukkan bahwa keyboard komputer bisa mengandung bakteri lebih banyak dari kursi toilet, termasuk bakteri E-coli dan staphylococcus aureus. Kedua bakteri bisa menimbulkan keracunan makanan.

Dari 33 keyboard yang diperiksa, empat dipandang menimbulkan potensi gangguan kesehatan dan satu mengandung lima kali lebih banyak dari kuman yang ditemukan di tempat duduk toilet kantor yang bersangkutan.Selama pengujian oleh Which? bulan Januari tahun ini, seorang mikrobiologis menilai salah satu keyboard di sebuah kantor begitu kotor, sehingga dia memerintahkan agar ditarik, dikarantina dan dibersihkan.

 

Benda itu memiliki 150 kali lipat dari rekomendasi batas jumlah bakteri. Pakar mikrobiologi Dr Peter Wilson pada RS University College London mengatakan, "pekerja kantoran yang berbagi komputer, berpeluang lebih besar untuk menderita sakit."

Dr Peter Wilson mengatakan, keyboard sering merupakan "cerminan apa yang ada dalam hidung dan saluran pencernaan anda".

Which? mengatakan, salah satu penyebab keyboard kotor adalah pengguna bersantap siang di meja kerja mereka, dan serpihan makanan mendorong pertumbuhan bakteri. Kebersihan diri yang buruk, seperti tidak cuci tangan setelah ke toilet, mungkin juga menjadi penyebab lain.

Sonys slinky Xperia Tablet Z to launch in Japan next week?

A Japanese network let slip some more details about the rumoured Sony Xperia Tablet Z, including the fact that it will launch in Japan on January 22.

Although DoCoMo hastily took the offending info down, it didnt escape the notice of Android Authority who grabbed and translated the data.

DoCoMos site also revealed that it would be showcasing the tablet in-store until January 27; its not clear if that means it will be a DoCoMo exclusive or if the wider release date will be January 27 or if the tablet will make it out of Japan anytime soon.

Samsung Galaxy SIII Battery Life Test

The guys at GSMArena have tested out the battery endurance test of the new Samsung flagship and  are ready to share the results with you. The I9300 Galaxy S III has a huge 2100 mAh battery, but its 4.8″ HD Super AMOLED still causes concern.

It was also interesting to see how the new-generation Exynos 4212 Quad chipset, fares. It’s got no companion core to handle less demanding tasks, but all of its four Cortex-A9 cores are built on a 32nm process, so they should be pretty efficient.

As usually they started with the 3G talk time test and  saw the Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III put up a pretty great performance. With the screen kept off, the S III made its huge battery count and survived for the whopping 10 hours and 20 minutes of constant talk done on a single charge.

Knowing how badly the predominantly white web pages normally treat AMOLED screens, they didn’t really expect the Galaxy S III to rule our browsing test. In reality it managed 5 hours and 17 minutes, which guaranteed it a position in middle of the pack. That’s not quite the flagship performance, but it’s actually better than expected.

Finally they come to the video playback part of our test and saw another amazing result from the Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III. The smartphone required a minute over 10 hours of continues video playback to drain 90% of its battery. Guess this make the S III a great travel companion for those long flights and train trips.

The Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III also had a pretty good stand-by endurance, which combined with its great performance in the individual tests helped it achieve an endurance rating of 43h. This suggests that you’d need to charge the monstrous smartphone once every 43 hours if you do an hour of 3G talking, video playback and web browsing per day.

How to get AllShare on the Galaxy S2 to work

If you have the Galaxy S2, you would have noticed an app in the list called AllShare:

See, that blue one in the top row.

Now, at first it didnt work on my phone, it just didnt connect. What you can do with it, however, is actually pretty cool - you can play items thats on your PC on your phone, and vice versa. NEAT!

I did a little digging, and found out how to get it to work. Note, I have Windows 7, and use the normal Media Player program that comes per default out with Windows, so this guide will help you to get yours working if you have the same OS and use Media Player...

So, to get it to work, you must first allow your PC to be accessed in this way. In Media Player, thats quite simple to do. When your Media Player is open, just below the Title bar, youll see the Back and Forward buttons, and below that the Organize, Stream and Create playlist options:

Clicking on the Stream option, gives you a few options:

If you want to control your Media Player from your phone, tick the "Allow remote control of my Player..." option, and if you want to play the files on your PC on your phone, tick "Automatically allow devices to play my media..." option. Youll get some warnings, but if youre confident that your network is secure, and you dont mind sharing your files like this, you can go ahead and enable the features.

That should set up your PC to allow the AllShare app to fully work now.

So, the AllShare app works like so - starting it up gives you this:

From this screen you can share the Videos, Pictures and Audio files on your phone - that is, view them on your PC. The only small issue I have here, is when tapping on any of the options, it just gives you one big list with everything of that category on your phone, no folders or any order, so if you have lots of files, it can take a while to sift through them.

And, when tapping one, you get to choose on which device youd like to play it:

Playing the file gives you the controls for it on your phone, but it obviously plays on the device (in my case, my PC):

And heres a screen shot to serve as proof that the movie is playing on my PC:

Now you have to admit, once again, that is a very cool feature! :)

You can just as easily play the files that are on your PC (loaded in your Media Player) on your phone. You tap on the Remote device option at the top, which will show you all the devices that have media sharing like this enabled on your network:

Tapping on the device, will open it up, and give you the options to browse the various media files in your Media Player, including play lists.

The AllShare app is really cool as you can see, just another awesome feature of the Samsung Galaxy S2. Damn this is a cool phone, if youre even considering getting one, just stop hesitating and DO IT!!

So, that covers how to work with the AllShare app that comes with the phone. It would have been nice for there to be some sort of tutorial or manual on how to get it working, but, luckily, Ive written this short guide :)

Samsung Galaxy One X Power User Tips How to maximise your battery life on your smartphone Auckland Dr Mobiles Limited unlock Google Android

A developer on xda-developers forums has found out that the poor battery life is due to an issue with the Nvidia Tegra 3 power management controls. The power control app, NvCPLSvc.apk, has been placed in the system/bin folder instead of the system/app folder. All you need to do is move this folder to its rightful location and that should give you about 10-20 percent boost in battery life, according to users.
